We are a team of specialists in Community Mediation, Conflict Resolution and Training.

Resolve offers a comprehensive range of services aimed at resolving many different conflicts and disputes. Whether it be a dispute between neighbours, within the family or at work, conflict can damages health, relationships and lifestyles. It can result in upset, frustration, powerless or anger, and may even lead to physical violence. Mediation is a way of turning conflict into something positive.  Here at Resolve we aim to help people find their own solutions to the problems they are experiencing.  Resolve is an independent charity consisting of a team of mediators who work across the whole of Berkshire and Oxfordshire, as well as four staff members based in Reading. Charity No. 1061866.

Whether you are in a dispute, interested in training or wanting to refer cases to us, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us using the contact information on this website.

We have helped hundreds of families, neighbours and organisation to resolve their disputes since our service began in 1997.We can help:

Local communities where neighbours or residents are in dispute

Mediation is confidential, fast, effective and affordable. As a charity we are able to keep our costs low. Our job is to help and encourage those in dispute to come up with their own solutions and agreements. We do not make judgements or tell people what to do. Our service is independent, confidential, impartial and non-judgemental.

Our Office Team is based at our office in central Reading, which is where we also run most of our training.

Training with us

We run a 2 day cross training course for mediators who have trained in related mediation areas such as commercial and who want to participate in community mediation.  This has proved a highly popular course with some excellent feedback.  The next course will run on 10th and 11th October 2016.  The course fee is £350 - contact us if you wish to register your interest.

Comment from a recent trainee:

Many thanks for an excellent two days of training in community mediation. I was impressed with the quality of the training, and the amount you managed to cover in the two days. It was a very good introduction to the challenges of community mediation, and also great fun.”
